330ss engine hatch sagging in the middle, causing damage when lifting
I have a 2000 330ss, when we got it there was visible damage where the hatch hit the ski tow hook on the way up. We had the hatch off and repaired, then I limited the full raised height by modifying the coupling to the engine hatch lift ram. The port side hinge stabilizer arm (not the main load bearing pivot, tough to describe) also ripped out of where it was mounted to the back of the boat.. I don't have pictures but I made a stainless bracket to reinforce the area and it was great for a year.
After winter storage (in a heated building) we opened up the hatch and heard cracking and popping. If you are looking at the back of the boat the bottom of the hatch hits the hard fiberglass below it, and its being pushed/cracked in on initial lift of the hatch. This appears to be because the center of the hatch has sagged. Any ideas on a good way to fix this?
Anyone else seen this before? I'll take pictures if I can get to the boat today.
Thanks,
Joe

Yea, pictures of various views would help. It sounds like something is not right at the hinge mechanisms, as the lifting of the ram will tend to push the middle of the hatch up, which should increase clearance, not decrease it.
