Default 353 or 312 staggered engine setups.

Anyone ever tried a big block 353 staggered setup or possibly a small block 312 staggered. It looks like it might fit either way. .?

I don't think there is enough room in the engine compartment. You'd have to modify the rear bench seat. Move it forward, but then your losing valuable cockpit space.

I have never heard of a staggered one. It would be cool in a poker run style 382 though.

You could do a 382 by moving the back seat and using a 419 engine hatch or just start with a 419. I have always thought a new 419 with staggered Merc 1100 Twin Turbos would be a nice boat.

As a 312 owner, there is no way in hell to get one motor in front of the other. I do think your best bet is to start with a 419 if you want staggered.

I don't even think you could get a short stagger in a 353.

Don't butcher a 419. There are few left and they are not made anymore. Get a staggered boat if you must have staggers. 419's are triple and best left that way.
