thanks!
if yours if fresh water only boat I would say maybe 6k ish
I just sold a fresh water only 1988 242ss 7.4 420hp, bravo real nice 60mph. NO issues. with galvy trailer all new tires. gave it away for $8500.
if you look at a 87/88 with a bigblock stay away from the ones with alphas.

I just remembered what my brother did on the Cheap Cheap to put a 454 in a F3-22LS. He found a salvage Motor Home with a 454 with 20K miles. Pulled it...put brass freeze plugs in it and Fel Pro Marine Head and Intake Gaskets, Marine Water Pump. He came up with the right fly wheel, Bravo Coupler, Volvo Style Crank mounted water pump. Converted to a Bravo I and Transom Assembly. With hoses and everything A-Z he did it for about $2500 utilizing good used parts. He's run it 4 seasons with no issues...boat runs an honest 60 with stock intake and Q-Jet,thru prop exhaust.

If your hull is solid and dry this is something you might consider.

I would think it's a 6k boat. I paid 10k for my 86 242 with a 420hp bravo setup.
