Looking at a few SR1's

What is the solution or preventative maintenance procedure to avoid getting moisture/water in the foam around the fuel tank. I have even heard about water accumulating in or under this supposedly sealed fuel tank cell. Eventually it sounds like it rots the stringers and bulkheads. I really like the looks of the SR1's but don't really want to sign up for tearing out and replacing soft stringers and bulkheads. Looking for any wisdom and advice. whistle:

Find one that is dry and kept inside then have it surveyed. A "good" survey is how you can gauge the wood condition. All the SR1's were wood built so it goes with the territory. Survey, Survey, Survey.
