Our boat has exactly that setup. Runs 80-85MPH all day long power with 600hp per side.

Jason - Sure, as he did my motors. Imco's are what he recommends as the solution to me blowing up drives. However, we don't know what the best drive height is, props, etc. I need to find someone who has done all the homework already on a later model 353 with my power.

And then pony up with the cash..

TJ - if you're looking for speed it's a big investment for a few mph from what I've heard. Unless you have motors capable of pushing your boat 85+ it might not be worth it. Might be better to put the 15k into the motors.

Hi Joe....You are right....!! Have talked with a friend who had a 90 mph 353 and has done everything to it...!! Big Power-Boxes-Shorty's....!!! He did a lot of research and learned a bunch from wrenching himself on it. My 353 with 502 MPI's only has 375 hours on it. I am going to beef up my drives with XR's and install a set of Whipple's..!!! Get the right prop and Enjoy..!!!
