Default Fastech trim tab removal

Hi everyone, I'm the relatively new owner of a 2006 353 with 496s... at the end of last year, I noticed a little dribble coming in from the the outermost through bolt for the starboard trim tab. I took it out and tried to pack it with the 3M sealant, but it didn't get any better... When I took the bolt out it seemed pretty well sealed too.

I wanted to get the whole tab off to see what's going on and to reseal the mounted plate to the hull, but I can't figure out how to reach the through bolt closer to the center of the boat. I can't even see it! Just curious if there's any tips or tricks out there. Seems like you might have to get it going under the motor and all the way back with like 4' of socket extensions?
