Default Any events at Macinac?

Any fast-boat events at Macinac this summer. Wife and I went there last year...fell in love with the place. Would love to go back. Might even bring my 357SR Kaama which I desparately need to sell.

Doc

Doc, you can start in macinaw, and stop at the following beautiful michigan ports heading south and end up in my town of Holland and leave your boat

there is Petosky, Harbor Springs, Charlevoix, Pentwater, Whitehall, Muskegon, Grandhaven, and then Holland. 7 more miles and hit Saugatuck, 15 more and hit South Haven. all resorty port towns with nice waterfronts, restaurants, shops, and beautiful public beaches.

many ports to enjoy your boat and the beautiful sand dune scenery along the michigan coast.

some formula owners are thinking of a formula rendevou at the June smoke on the water poker run in Grand Haven. I know of a 302 and 41' formula both with kaamas considering the trip from Chicago.

The last week in July the Michigan Special Olympics Water Warriors and Formula boats leave Mac. city dock to do a 1 week trip to lake St. Clair. I heard their was Formula's that attend this event.
I have been doing this trip for 6 years now and what a experience.

doright -
I agree totally with Rambunctious on his posted ports. Personally the wife and I boat out of Charlevoix and find the small towns/ports of Leland, Northport and Suttons Bay along with Bay Harbor to be fun, enjoyable places to have a bite of lunch and walk these small quaint areas. I believe most of these have transient slips for short or overnight stays.

Enjoy!

Long docks and deep water at both Elk Rapids and CHARLEVOIX. Makes launching and retrieving longer boats/trailers easier! FYI
