What is the fastest 272SR1

I would like to know what is the fastest late 80s Formula 272SR1 anyone knows of? What motors and HP did it have?

I have now managed to hit 93.1 mph with 135 gal fuel and two persons in my 89 Formula 272SR1! I am running 454s with Whipples and would estimate I am making about 600 - 650 HP each.

You may be the about the fastest. I have never heard of an older 272 topping 93. I guess you have some pretty smooth water to run in.

We have both a 272 and a 357 and I sure wouldn't want to be running 90 in that 272 across some big water.

I bet that is one blast to drive.

On the conditions it actually wasn't too nice at all. Take a look at some of the photos from the poker run www.mdr.ky or www.vibefm.ky we had on Monday and you will see what I mean. I have just recently replace the gimbals and drives and with the new gimbals it handles a lot better.

I am running Bravo I 30s labbed by York and turning them 5700 with 1.5 ratio. This thing accellerates like a rocket.

When I ran 93.1 this was without the trim I usually run for top speed as it was a little too nasty to trim it out all the way. I also had a full tank of fuel at the time. I am confident It will run 95+ light and trimmed out.

Here is a picture of us launching of a wave at about 75mph in the poker run.

Mopower do you have on your silent thunder platform? When I removed mine i gained 7mph. I knew that exhaust was an issue for me though.

That's by far the most I've ever hear of
Usually it's little , to no gain at all. And yes mine's still there.
My 540s exact dyno readings were 648.7hp @5688 and 689.1 ft lbs @4174. Got (borrowed)28 unlabbed Bravos right now. Hope to try it this weekend.

Masi, Second is fine. That way you're not the one eveybody tries to beat
