"thru thunder" basically you connect tubes thru the ST box all the way thru the box. I did mine out of 4 inch stainless flex pipe of a semi truck

Can anyone tell me how much a 1988 272 SR-1 weighs? I may be picking one up. Also how much water it needs to float? I want to know if it will float on my dock.

5750 lbs. dry according to the 1988 formula brochure. Add 133 gallons of fuel, gear, and any bolt ons that weren't from the factory and your well over 6000 lbs.

Also, 34" draft according to the same brochure.

These are heavy boats!

buddy's 89 272 with tri axle trl came in at over 9k on the scales

Mine loaded with the trailer is just over 8000. My trailer is aluminum I beam though.
