Re: 47 flat deck
i believe that was one of the first 47cs's ( competetion series ) started out with triple merc 1000's. 6-7 years ago i was interested in the when it had triples in it i believe at the time they were asking low 100's boat i believe was in ohio area, i heard that it sold and then a couple years later it surfaced with the twins and 525's i inquired again on the boat and was told that the boat was switched over to twins by the factory. i always question how you can take a triple engine boat and remove the forward engine and have the x deminsions etc. be right for the boat. when inquiring a few years ago about the boat i was thinking that a better set up would be to set it up as a staggered big motor boat, boat that would require new transom and stringer placements. its been forsale in its present state for several years. I would think that with 525's and wet 6's its a real pig and a struggle just to get it up and out of the water, much less keep it there, i believe the brochures that claimed it weighed around 13800 pounds.

Re: 47 flat deck
Later,
yeah, it seems the 525's would have problems, and it seems there really not 525's from the pics I see. MErcury Racing tells me they could damage the 6's with low hp and heavy weight.....Owner////marina claims 900 were in it, one blew so he put 525's in...but they said it was recent, and recent on the 6's rebuilds...(if they were).
rbr, your in cummings were the boat being sold, is it yours? have you seen it on the lake? waht ya think of it...

Re: 47 flat deck
I have never seen it on the lake. and really can't say much good about the dealer. I have not had much experience with this dealer since the Bill Harris days but am still leary about anything related to that location.
rbr2328 can probably tell you a lot more because of his past dealings there and he is within walking distance of the dealer. I drive by there weekly but have not noticed the boat recently unless it is inside or around back.
Good luck.

I guess Ill have to still look around, 120k for motors plus 65k aint worth it....
