Cig's are nice boats... Good resale. Of course I am sure my next boat will be my last so who cares . At least that's what I tell my wife, as she rolls her eyes at me. I think I am going to pull the trigger on a 38. Tomarrow is d-day on that point. Then I can vote. I bought a 29 in 04, but it just doesn't have enough length for what I want to do. Looked at a beautiful Gladiator but decided against it....

Right on Steve, go for it.
We bought our 29's at the same time.

I'm still happy with mine, 2004 HP525, 120 hours.

If I could swing it & keep the kids in new shoes, I'd get the 38.

Had a 35 ex the first time I voted. We now have a 38 Fever. Being on Lake Cumberland it gets pretty sloppy choppy on the weekends. There's a world of difference in the way the 38 handles the chop vs the 35.

About the only day that I wish I had a bigger boat is during the Poker Run. But I like the nimbleness of the 38 vs the 42 and I don't think I would trade that nimbleness for the one day a year that I could use the extra 3 feet. If I were on the Great Lakes or Ocean then I would probably go with a 42.

Someday, if things go well, I would like to have both my 38 and a dedicated 100+ mph Poker Run boat. And at this point I doubt if the poker run boat would be a Fountain

I have a 27 also. I just don't understand how people put so few hours on thier boats. I got my motor redone this summer, got it back mid-august. I've been out of town for work every week but 2 since then. I've already got over 55 hours on the new motor... (not knocking you or anything it's just surprising how many boats i see with 100 hours or so on them).

Still have my early 29 twin. Wouldn't trade it for anything else and I've had my opportunities. Just and I mean JUST finished a major re-rig. New power (675hp naturally asp.) Konrad drives, new interior and panel.

Had her out every day this week and I plan on getting over 100 more hours on her before the winter lay-up. We'll be on the Bay this weekend for Fleet Week.
