Re: Fast Fountain...
QUESTION: I am thinking about buying a 40' Fountain. 454's, with Bravo's . The Hull is a 1985. I want to run the Hull number and check the history, and maybe the options this boat came with. Guy said it orig has twin SBC with blowers, and speedmasters, and was professionally raced? If anyone can help the HULL ID # is: FGQ12011H485 REG # NC861BD The hull is in fair shape orig colors it looks like, race nuber was on bow and scrapped off, only red outline shows, Orig from North Carr and now sits in Long Island NY, boat is a 6.5 out of a 10. not bad for it's age. Guy wants $12.000 w/o trailer.

I did not call Fountain, but I contacted the NC Boat Reg Section in Raleigh,NC and got a name of the owner in Washington NC, (BILL KOOIMAN ) he is unlisted in the phone book, or has since moved. Anyone know him, maybe is a Fountain race guy from down south ? I may try Fountain next, anyone got a tel # for them?

Re: Fast Fountain...
Boat is all white with checker board graphics in the rear,I called Chris today at Fountain: He said he was going to look into it, he did say it was origional tripple engine boat and must have been converted to twin's at some point. Not to many 40' Fountains were made that year with tropples. If anyone else can run a hull trace let me know. I am going back tomorrow to look at it again, and maybe put a deposit.
