Default Engine hatch mirrors

I am thinking about installing mirrors on my engine hatches. Has anyone done this? Who sells a mirror that would fit the hatch? What is the downside? Thanks.

What type of material are the mirrors? Glass or some type of plastic?

Thanks for the replies. I'll call Fountain. Did you go with the blue tint because of your blue engines?

I ordered mine OEM from Fountain on a 2005 Lightning. There are some issues on expansion when they get warm from the engines. They tend to warp and buckle a little mostly around the edges where they are fastened.

I believe they drill the holes a little larger than the fastners and set them in so there can be some movement. Maybe some sort of fiber washers would help.

Mine are not tinted. When you keep 'em clean, they do give a nice view of the engines. I like 'em!

Might also make sure the screws are not tight, to allow the panels to expand.

Get stainless steel and have it glued on. Mine has been on the boat for 2 years and is perfect.
