Re: oler 525sc's

My 98 29 fever had a 525SC in it being only a 454 with a small blower you will never make much power,i tryed spinning the blower faster it just makes more heat, wich intern means actually less power.Iwould opt for the efi package or save some money and go large displacement or blown (8-71)540.You will git bored with that little motor i did in about 1 week!!!Good luck RAY.

Re: oler 525sc's

A buddy has a '96 42 Fever with triple 525's that he runs the heck out of. Just told me this weekend that 2 motors never been touched other than plugs, 1 motor lost a cam last yr. Plan is to pull the 2 motors this winter to look them over. Turn key motors as far as I'm conscerned.

Re: oler 525sc's

I had the option of going with 525s in 1993 when I purchased a 27. I opted for larger cubic inch motor (not Mercury) for about the same price. The 454 with a supercharger didn't have quite enough punch, however, I have heard that they were good a combination with that engine.

I have had 4 525sc's and really like them . they are not a real power house but they do run good. and they will idle all day long if tuned right.
