Toe In / Toe Out ?????
Need some info regarding toe in / toe out setting for the drives on the boat. Called Fountain today but kept missing the person I needed to talk to about this. Would like to check the setting before launching.
1999 35 Fountain Lightning
Standard Bravos at regular factory X dimension
Props are turning in
Would like to know in or out, and how much. Thanks in advance !

Re: Toe In / Toe Out ?????
I've always been told that the bullets should be towed in 1/16th to 1/32nd.

Hey Robert, I'm thinking in a little myself. Tried the factory yesterday just got busy with chit and kept missing people. Thought someone here might know. Well off to Rochester for Sam's mom's birthday party today, then back here to launch the boat on sunday, try to save some of the weekend. BTW how is yours running ?

I called the Fountain factory once about 4ys ago......I cant remember who I was talking to but he yelled across the shop to a couple of different guys and they went back and forth for awhile and the consensus was "dead ahead.....perfectly straight"......thats what they said......doug

Re: Toe In / Toe Out ?????
Well finally got thru to Fountain today, and the answer is 1/16 Toe In on the 35. Ran this past weekend at 3/16's toed in and the boat feels good but may be off about 100 RPM, hard to tell that small a difference. Will change it this week and go again.

Best way I have found is to use the center of the prop shaft, the dimple in it, and the center of the leading edge of the gearcase. Toed in would be a smaller, shorter distance at the leading edge than the prop shaft center line, toed out would be the opposite.
