Re: 00 35 anchor

I dont have a picture, had a 35 with a anchor locker. The anchor stands straight up and the bracket with the pin throught it holds the beam of the anchor. If its the original anchor, it will have a hole drilled that matches the pin in the bracket.....Fountain makes their own anchor so it will fit in the locker standing up with the flukes pointed upward. The anchor wouldnt hold worth a damn. Had 4 foot of chain, plenty of rope wouldnt hook unless it was flat calm. I have the same anchor in my 38 Lightning, same problem, I cut down a Fortress and fit it in the locker. Hooks everytime. If you really need a picture, I can take one of the 38, this weekend.

'05 Fountain 35 EX
Re: 00 35 anchor

I used a Fortress aluminum anchor in my '04 29 anchor locker with 150' of rode and 5' of chain. I had to cut the bar at the fluke end about 4" but it did not seem to make a difference in holding power. My strong suggestion is that you abandon the anchor locker...my rode was always wet and snotty (not to mention moldy) and generally hard to work with. My new 35 EX does not have an anchor locker. I purchased the Hydro Bubble 3500 kit, the whole deal weighs less than 20#, comes in a great little bag and fits under the rear seat. It's always dry, neat and ready to go! Your choice...my .02! Best of luck. BTW the Hydro Bubble works better than any other anchor I have ever used!
