Removing the cabin couches on a 38 Lightning

How do you remove the lower and upper (back of) couches in these? One of mine came loose and has several long/short screws hanging from it. For the life of me, I cannot find how to reinstall. I am also reskinning both so need to know how to R/R these. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Call a Dr. Vinyl guy, they did mine at the dock for $150.00
That was worth the Monkey hassle for me at least

The seat bottoms are screwed thru in the center pleat. Spread it open and look real close for signs of screws. Alot of times the screw head will be below the material.
More than likely only a couple screws on each.

Not sure on the backs.

Many thanks-will look between the cushion creases. ANYONE know how to remove the back cushion? I called Fountain cutomer service and as usual, no return call.

Re: Removing the cabin couches on a 38 Lightning

I pulled mine out of an older 10-Meter, dont' know how similar yours are.

In mine, there was a deck-access plate in front of the seat, where the inner hull support for the seat sits on. Mine has four of these, 2 per side. If you have these, pop the covers and you'll find nuts on the end of some LONG screws.

Also on mine, the bench back has arms on it that bolt thru the floor. Fasteners for the seat bottom and the back can be reached via the same access plate.

Good luck,
Brian

just simply look in the crease. You'll eventually find them!

Re: Removing the cabin couches on a 38 Lightning

Many thanks for all replies. I will look (BETTER) in the creases. As I expect, the screw heads are probably buried past the material in the creases but before I really tugged on something, I wanted to ask the Q cause generally I will tear something up the wrong way first.

Once again, thanks to all for responding.
