Default Thru hull water pickups........

I am rerigging my 99 35" with a pair of whippled 500 efi's and want to use offshore type water pickups, thru the the transom or the bottom. Has anybody ever used these and if so where did you put them?
Thanks!

I have thru hulls on my 42. they are located about 6" forward of the notch and may 4" from keel center. My boat is covered and will have to get in there for a picture.
My hull has a scooped duct the leads to the pickup carved into the bottom. They machined the scoop into a piece if aluminum and bonded it to the bottom of the floor where the bottom has the shaped hole in it to fit the scoop
The plate is 1" thick and 6"x6" and has the threads in it for screwing the pickup into it and for adjustment. I think mine is a bit extreme but I found the trailing edge of the pickup should hang down 1/8" to 3/16" below the running surface for correct pressure setting.
I will try to post a pic in a day or so.
One thing I have to control is flow rate and pressure to be sure the headers and tail pipes are full of water.
