Yup, everything will be stressed beyond manf. tolerances if he gets out on the road. I occasionaly pull a loaded down 27 with my 9900lbs rated chevy and I dont enjoy it. An overkill truck is worth its weight in gold when towing expensive boats.

I towed my 35 with a new F150 which is rated @ 9900 or so and it was a dog and pretty scary even with the Myco trailer and electric over hydraulic brakes. The new to me F350 and powerstroke makes all the difference in the world!

Take it to a scale and find out. My Dodge pulls mine great, But you can feel it in the hills.
