Default fever and wipples

thinking about putting whipples on my 1998 38 fever with 500s with carbs. but i dont want to change the engine cover. does anyone know if they will fit ? and an idea on the performance i can expect.

Whipple it up! I think you will run into some clearance issues even with the whipples. They may fit though. If they do it will be very tight. Brian are you board with the speed already?

I would definately go with the whipples. Heard a lot of good things

It'll fit for sure if you cut out the inside of engine hatch and put some inserts in. I have a pair in storage if you wind up going that route.

A 98 with 500's probably came with bravo ones. Plan on replacing them on a regular basis. Blower motors and bravo ones don't get along at all on 38 foot boats. If you are lucky you could probably nurse a set if XR's and get by. Run the boat hard and you will likely eat the XR's often.

When you finally get everything dailed in and it's actually running you'll likely pick up about 10 - 12 mph.

the boat has 275 hrs in it the motors run great but i hear i should freshen them up at about 500 hrs. trying to figure out what i want to do with them.go to 600 hp with cams and heads or go with some kind of charger. would like to see 85 to 90 on gps

77 with tacky 27 hydro QIV at 5100 to 5300 rpms light fuel
