I do that! Its actually putting pressure on it from the other direction, the water tries to push it up and my 240 lbs. tries to push it down. Do you think it damages the tab to step on it?

There is just no down side to this ladder they give you the measurements hold it up there mark the holes drill them, then put this blind nut in the hole and they give you an expansion tool a little 5200 arond the blind nuts then bolt the ladder to it there is no storage it kickes up after you step on it I have had 280lbs on it with no problem
