New Fountain 32
They were talking about 496's running in the low 80's. But, based on how my single step 1998 32' Fever runs with stock 502's, I am guessing a twin step 32 with 496/425 HO's would reach mid to upper 80's with the right props. It should be interesting.

[QUOTE=RaggedEdge;2272390][QUOTE=Expensive Date;2232040] The 525 (and up) hp 502 and up is not a GM block
I believe you're wrong on this, GM is still offering their versions of the 502 thru the GM Performance Parts division. Just out of curiosity where do you think Merc HP gets the blocks for the 525's and the other 502 based engines from?
I talked to my friend at Fountain today and while I don't want to post his name he is pretty high up on the food chain there."The 525 is an aftermarket block "

Let me clear up this 502 block confusion. The 502 block was produced at the Tonawanda Powertrain Plant in NY. When it went out of production the castings, molds and CNC machienery was transfered to GM high performance Parts Division. This block is being supplied to Mercury racing by GM high performance parts division and is still a GM engine.
