White 35 with canopy is Reggies old Kilo boat. Ran good today on the run, don't remember the speed though. Taz, 47' and Satmpeed, 42' PR ran and so did an 08' 47 with triple 525's. No one broke 100 that I can remember.

35 foot Fountain takes first place in its class
The crew of that red and white canopy boat is Mike and Ron. I just talked to Mike, and he took first place in his class on Saturday @ 103mph. They are bumping up to the blower class today to see if they can win that too!!!!
Excellent job Mike and Ron!!!!!!!

Stampede hit 99 on his first run f the day then 100 even on the second. We left after that and do not know if he did any better or not. At least 2 Fountains broke into triple digits.

I hit 94 twice on Sunday, but my hand held gps registered a little over 96 both times. Still only was running 5,500 rpms compared to my target of 5,800. I've heard the radar is a couple of mph slower than gps from a couple of people that ran.
What great conditions on Sunday! Flat, flat water..........

Hey Rebel,
Sounds like you had it running pretty good to hit 94. I did not make it down this year. I caught myself a case of pneumonia from multiple trips to Toronto. It will take another few weeks to get over it.
I really have not made any changes to my boat since last year, so I was expecting to run mid to high 80's. Next year I am thinking of getting some bottom work done. I believe I have a slight hook right before the pad.
I'll be down a few more times this fall before putting it away. Stop by if you're headed to Frankie and Louies sometime.
Take care,
Doug

I ran mine through on Saturday, hit 75, then 78 mph right at 5000 rpm's the old girl ran pretty good. That's with the old 525's SC. Some guy in my class ran 103 his motors must have been fresher than mine....
The Shoot Out is my favorite weekend of the year, there we some very impressive boats once again this year.
