I wonder what they are seeing with the 850's or if they have even done one.
Our 700 38 runs 110 mph anyway you want to load it 5 people full tanks of fuel, flat water high humidity. Burn off some fuel and I have seen 112.5 on GPS. The factory top speed from Fountain is 114.3. What is just as impressive is the acceleration for 1400 hp. The boat is set up perfect.

We were just their Sat. 9/8. We ran Rock the Bay Poker run. Was trying to download a video of the Jammin on the James poker run. It shows the boat starting the run and is running with a new 07 35 with 525 package. If I can figure it out I will load it.

BEAK Boater how does it handle at those speeds vs the outerlimits your father had?

The Outerlimits was mine, Dreamboater is my son. Outerlimits makes a great product, our 37 Quad step was a great rough water boat. It would run 110 mph with 1000 KE's that were staggered. After 110 you would need to use some tab to keep the boat from chine walking. Once you drop the tabs it will scrub off speed. Ted Link now owns it. Go to the Outerlimits forum and read the thead about different prop rotation. A lot of what we experienced with our Outerlimits seems to be the norm for that hull. Our Fountain is smaller not quite as comfortable in rough water. It has run as fast as 114 with 300 hp less per side. The boat is rock solid at those speeds. No tab needed, does not do anything unpredictable.

Have outerlimits ever proved that their hulls (40-44 size)
are capable of reallly high speed like Fountain have with their
V-bottom records? What about the new OV40 (Lucas Oil) hull.
How fast would that be if power was no limitation?
