It's just the way the graphis look on the boat. Kind of hides the beak. Look hard at the picture on the right - the beak lives.

Nope, If I remember right the beak was bobbed off when this one was being rigged and tested for the big speeds. Remember something about creating a little too much lift. Look again, it is not a full beak there.

This is true if my memory serves me. I ran in the 06 Jax Poker run and snapped a good photo of it as we were all idling out to the start area and noticed that "something" was missing. And I was told the reason it was missing was because of too much bow lift at higher speeds. I recently had the honor of hanging out with Ben Robertson (and witnessing his genius) and he told me that boat is a handful at higher speeds. I don't think that boat has hit its true potential as far as speed goes. Good luck to its new owners!!!!

PS: I know they're running it with Sterling 1500's, but I'm curious as to what would happen with a couple of those Chief turbo 1800's????
