Do not be penny wise and dollar foolish. If you are talking about installing Mercury 700's & NXT, get a newer 35 Lightning with full staggered Mercury 525EFI and you will run 100MPH and save on isnurance not to mention better resale value. if you are putting aftermarket 700's in, and keeping bravo drives, beware in rough water, you will be replacing bravos with that HP. We recently re-rigged a 35X (single step), pulling 500EFI's out and installing 535EFI's, the boat went from 84mph to 90mph.

I agree with this, either build on what you have or upgrade to a newer with 525efi's, to pull and rerig with 700/nxt's would be through the roof $$ and then you have a rare expensive boat that will kill you on resale and insurance.

I tryed to build on what I had. The stock 525's with ext boxes and some iron head work ran 85 all day long, I call several people trying to up grade the motors. I chose Keith Eichert They sold me all I needed to wake these motors up pistons dart heads, cams , fuel pumps , after 15,000. the boat runs 5mph slower.

I hear what everyone has to say but blower motors are awsome. the 525s are reliable and run great but I still want what I can't have and will get it one way or another. lord hear my prayer.
