Default Nice Piece But Underpowered.

The boat will run 72-76 with 4 people and fuel. Fountain only built two of these boats I believe both in 2006 and they are still for sale. Raymonds in LOTO and American Performance in MD.

I believe that raymonds may have had 2. One was dark blue and the owner ran it in the shootout 3 years ago, then came back the next year with bigger power.

isn't that the best way to order a Fountain if your going to put your own big power in it? I was told and not by a very good source that fountain has to put merc motors in from factory.

Not even 75. Even perfectly trimmed you'd be lucky to hit 70 consistently (unless you have scott shogren, tres martin, or reggie driving that thing).

From George Denny's site, this is the boat I am remembering haveing 496's in the shootout and then bigger power the following year.

I would agree with that. And that would be on a good day.

76 mph according to Fountains brochure. And I think that is a fact too.I think they have 1,65:1 gears on that package, at least that is what they did on the 35 Executioner to help acelleration. To get more speed, both the lowers and the uppers will have to be replaced. I know a few who use them just for cruising, and than it should work ok, but my opinion is that No6s is the only way, especially for offshore conditions. 2x1000 hps and the package is complete, and after 10 years, it will still be a cool boat.

Good luck!
