Default Swim ladder for 35 lightning

I want to put a swim ladder on a 35 lightning but where do I find them. Is the one that mounts under the swim platform the way to go or the one that a bracket mounts to the back with the separate ladder? Thanks Speed

Fountain used the bracket and removable diveboat style ladder. Wanted to add one to my dads 35 Fountain when he had it but it looked like it would be a huge pain in the ass to through bolt something to the back of the swim platform.

Does the bracket stay out of the water when anchored? Is the hull solid where you bolt it on? Man, I never thought putting a boarding ladder would be so difficult. I just don't want to keep stepping on the outdrives to get in the boat and risk an injury. Thanks again Speed

Yeah, the bracket is out of the water, mounts near the rubrail on the back of the swim platform. The bracket is pretty small, doesn't hang below the platform.

No matter what you do, it won't be easy. My dad gave up on adding one to his and bought one that hangs from the hand rail on the back. Last year I almost bought a 32 Fountain and was going to install one like mjc posted the link to. It was the only one I found that could be installed without having access to the backside to throughbolt.

Oh yeah, this has been covered a few times in the past. Click here for some reading. Should cover all the options. Good luck.

for the aqua step you do not have to have acess to the inside of the platform , they provide some special expander nuts . give them a call to explain . tim

I spoke with Elba at Aqua sports and she sent diagram. Does anyone with a 35 Fountain have a picture with the Aqua ladder mounted. Man, I don't want something that's going to look funky on the back. If it tucks up and looks pretty neat Then it's a sell for me. I ask Elba but she doesn't have any actual pictures. Help!!!!!!! Thanks all you Fountain Folks. Speed
