Default new prop test

I got a couple pics of running today...

Got my 17x37 herrings from bblades and finally got a chance to test them. went from 108 at best to what you see on the pics. acceleration and midrange was amazing not to mention.....

the weather was about 50 but the water was very flat and we just ran out of lake or she would've topped 120 easy. This was on the limiters but with some warm air I really think it is about right as far as pitch.

Nice pull - how about some details. HP, drive ratio, rpm's, etc.? I need to get the slip down on mine. I am getting 110 GPS running Herring 6-blade 16.875 x 37.5 against the limiter with a 1.5 ratio drive. I keep running out of lake as well, so may just have to stay in it longer and pull back until the slip drops.

They are 900sc's that have had a little work on them. They were just completely redone last winter with a little tweak here and there with 1.5:1 #6 drives. The new props like a lot more trim to loosen them up but the boat runs like it is on a rail. The slip is still up around 17% but that still ain't bad for a big V.

Yes... That was very fun.

The 900's have solid roller's correct? What are you spinning them around 6,250 rpm's? Very solid results - congrats.

Yeah they are solid roller dry sump motors. The rev liimiter is at 6150 but I am getting new ignition modules that will allow me to have a higher base timing hopefully making it easier to start and warm up. These new modules have no limiters either.
