2005 35' Lighning
Am seriously considering an 05 35' Lightning with 525's. I would like any input pls. I am moving up from an 02 27' Fever 496HO. I boat larger lakes in Western Canada. Haven't seen the boat in person yet, are all '05 Lightning staggered? Claims she runs about 90. Has about 100 hours on here. Hows the cabin, wife and i occasionally overnight in the 27 and make do with the room. Thanks Pete

The staggered set up was first introduced at the begining of the '07 model year, and has been the standard ever since. Was not available prior to '07.
I have an '06 with 525's and 90 is an honest number, can be slightly better with some prop work. We spend every weekend on the boat and have plenty of room to be comfortable, little more space in this one as compared to the single step 35 I had before. Great boat, handles the water very well, is fairly efficient on fuel, and is a lot of fun to run, 90+ on stock turn key power is hard to beat.
