At 75 MPH, its at 90% throttle.
The twin diesels will get 20 HP per gallon per hour, the turbines 0.8 HP per gallon per hour.
So the diesels will burn 2 x 5300HP / 20 = 530 gallons per hour.
The turbines will burn 2 x 4700 / 8 = 1175 gallons per hour
Total = 1700 gallons per hour!
That's 23 gallons per mile! At $5 a gallon (assume you get a really good quantity discount at a fuel dock) that's $113 per mile. Take a run from Miami to Key West, that will take about Nineteen Thousand Dollars EACH WAY, but you'll be able to get there in 2.5 hours!
