No dissin here! It just seems you guys are looking at steel trailers under older boats. New Technology according to the guys at Instigator. I`m by far a structural engineer, so I believe them.

Didn`t mean to get away from the subject at hand, but it happens.

Boat will still be available in the spring....!

Many, if not most, of the aluminum rail trailers stop just aft of the rear axle. The front axle is usually real close to the step location on 27 or 29 Fountain, so it looks about right to me.

My friend may be interested in selling his 1996 27 with HP500 on an Eagle trailer that he bought from me about 8 years ago. I think he had it in the water 2-3 times in the last 5 years. It has lightning graphics and would probably be in your price range ... I'll ask him and post a picture of it ... I have many, many pictures of that boat. It was the first Fountain I owned.

27" prop and no rev limiter. That was 83mph @ around 5800rpm. Been several yrs, so I forget the exact rpm, other than I had no trouble spinning it in close to, but under 6000.

Yes, plain stock 1.5 B1.

Whoa there sparky, no need to get defensive just made a simple post, no disrespect...last time I checked I can still do that.
