Is there any reason why they sticked to the "old" version?
Mind, not that there's anything wrong with them!
not sure

I'm also curious about that.
My guess is that they regularly mark any boat built in a given year as a "+1" model year.
Does anyone know if there's any rule on this matter?

They started building 2011 on 2-1-10 witch sucks for me because I took delivery on mine one month ago and it is a 2010. I thought they told me that boat ran 85 and was trying different props. boat looks great

33 CFR 181.3 Model year means the period beginning August 1 of any year and ending on July 31 of the following year. Each Model year is designated by the year in which it ends.

This means that if a boat is built between Aug 1, 2010 and July 31, 2011 then the boat is a 2011 model year.

Now that's interesting.
If this is the rule, how can they justify plenty of boats where the two digits of the HIN which show the month/year of manufacture are before August, with a "+1" model year?
And not just Fountain btw, I've seen that also on other boats.
