Western California Yacht Sales in Stockton, CA is selling a 1989 Fountain 38. I can't find anything that says Fountain made a 38 in 1989. I see 36 and 40 foot boats, but no 38. I called the dealer for what appears to be a good deal. When I questioned him on it, he did not have an answer. Maybe he is not as familiar as this forum. Can anyone tell me if Fountain made a 38 model for the 1989 year? Is this boat really a 36 and someone is trying to sell it as a 38. Or did the HIN number get an unathorized face lift? In the late 80's Fountain did not count the swim platform, and they called that boat a 36'. I was the same for the 33'/35' and the 40'/42' fountains.

The 1989 models were measured without the swim platform, later models included it in the oal. It is a 38...
