more than likely I'll be shopping for a set of motors for this thing. Overall I'm happy with it I'm just use to seeing a custom motor with all billet pulleys and stainless braided lines everywhere then I get this fountain with stock 454 mags.... big difference in appearance and sound. hopefully around the 1st of the year I can start looking for motors. All my funds are being saved so I can take time off for my sons next operation.

Have the same set-up but a '91, not sure if the hulls are the same but I think they are.

28P 4 blades run it to an easy 75ish on most days, a couple more in the right conditions maybe. Depends on the day and water conditions.

Sometimes if its like glass it won't unstick and see more that about 71. But maybe thats me not getting the best from the tabs and drives, and not the boat.

Have fun with it dude, let me know when you upgrade engines and I might pick yours up for spares.

You might get 80-82 by raising up some and props.
What type of prop and pitch are you running with your boat? It is very similar to mine 97 29 fever with Blown 502s, 600hp each and I need to re-prop mine.

Valve covers, new pulleys, and stainless steel headers will make it look and sound a whole lot better. ...but chrome doesn't make a boat go

I have some motors for ya, they have 13hrs on them and were 100% NEW when I did them last year, Not rebuilt or refurb heads ...NEW!! The only used part that was touching the motors were the engine mounts. 540ci Dart blocks we opened to 557ci, AFR Heads , Cmi Exhaust, NEW HARDIN serp belt and ACC's ALL NEW. You name it! These made 773hp at 6500RPM, and the same torque. At 5200 RPM they make about 100 less HP but torque is only 50 lees or so. XR's are a must if you run in rougher conditions. And I have dyno sheets and all reciepts as well as the dyno was a real # dyno with pump gas and no timing, we built and tuned these to be conservative so I could change pistons and cam to add blowers someday.
