Default Fuel consumption 35 ICBM Lightning

I have a question that some of you might be able to answer....

I am curious about how low consumption it is possible to obtain with a 2008 Fountain 35 ICBM Lightning staggered. The consumption is given in the brochure, but at 60 or 70 mph. Most people here are cruising in 40 mph between all the small islands and I believe that would reduce the consumption alot. Anyone who have tested with their smart craft systems which speed makes the miles per gallon highest possible??

(And yes, I know you don't buy these boats to save gas, but it would be great to get some input anyway).

And what top speed is it likely to get with this boat with twin 600 SCI Mercs and have it precition tuned with custom made Herings and minimal extra weight on board..?? The very top speed I mean with absolute perfect conditions!!! Have anyone tested this boat/engine combo? Impressions?

THANKS!!!

Oh heck, not bad at all. You are probably looking at about 28-30 GPH. As far as top speed with 600s you are probably looking at 108.
