Default New Fountain Owner

Hey Guys,

I purchased my 27 Fountain Fever from Shogren last Oct from Scott (Great guy) The people and service at Shogren are top notch I must say. A great experience dealing with them. I have been dying to get the boat back out. I only got the chance to put an hour and a half on it last year and haven't had it in yet this year. I'm still setting up the hoist I bought for it. Its a 2000 27 Fever with the 500EFI.

You guys are an amazing pool of info. Oh, and also you have some amazing boats. I have been eager to own a Fountain ever since I was a kid. Hopefully one day I can upgrade to some of the boats you guys are playing around in.

I do have one question. There are two vent holes (3inch) on the rear transom on each side. Most of the newer models have grilles over them. Do any of you know roughly how much and where i can get a set?

Aaron

Not just a grill. They are long tube inserts. I think they are like $200-$300 each from Fountain.

The vent tubes you refer to in the back dont have grills over them on your model are you sure you didnt see the newer Fountain exhaust tubes they have grills on the ends ... Congrats on the new boat!

Thanks guys.
Wow, I did'nt know they were tubes. Looks like for 200-300 bucks I'll be putting that lower on the priority list.

Nice shot from lk st clair ramp. You dont need covers. Mine are stainless with no covers. Another 27 in the area. Nice.
I live on cass, bring it over someday. I do go to st clair at times as well. John
