Drive spacer position
Just wondering if anyone knows where the drive trim spacer position should be on a 29 Fever. Mercury book shows it should be in front of the trim cyl. shaft for a Bravo XR for more "trim in" but also states that it can be moved to the back position if more trim out is required in the down position due to handling. With the step hull I know having the trim-in being able to go too far down can cause the boat to spin out during high speed turns. Just wondering where fountain put them from the factory.
Just to be clear, this is the plastic spacer that goes in the upper housing and takes up the space where the trim cyl. shaft goes on the back of the drive.
Never know after someone else has owed a boat what things may have been changed.
I'm sure having more trim-in would help the boat get up on plane faster.
