1990 Fountain 29 Fever
I am looking at a 1990 Fountain 29 with 454mags 365hp. New exhaust/silent choice.300 hours. Engines and drives complete overhaul last year. All new white interior, dash, cockpit and cabin. New gaffrig gauges and throttles.I have only seen pics but it looks very clean. Dealer tells me close to 80mph b/c they took some trim plate out of it that makes in run another 3mph. I'm thinking this boat will 73mph. dealer asking 41,900. Never owned a Fountain needs input on speed, handling, weight the whole nine yards....thanks

A 90, that would have the integrated swim plaform, sounds like a nice boat, Fountains update very well, I have an 89 29 with twin small blocks, like any used boat get it surveyed, Fountains are very good boats (mine breezed through the survey) Im not sure about the speed but I think what they are talking about with the "trim plate" is on some fountains they put some spacers in the trim tabs that dont allow you to pull the tabs up all the way up so you cant trim it all the way out, they're a safety feature. Take those out and you'll be "driving it'' at top speed.......take it out for a test run, see how you like it , let us know.....Doug
