Default 2000 Fountain Fever 27 - 502 Mag - Factory Prop Spec?

Been searching the forums, but can't find what I'm looking for. Our new (to us) boat came with a 22p RH Bravo I prop. Is this the correct prop for a stock 502 Mag for this model?

If not, I'd like to get the correct prop or one that is recommended.

Assuming final drive is the spec ratio.

Thanks.

22 is awful small. I would say a 24-26 at least, but don't know for sure.

That's kinda what I thought, still looking for some confirmation on the factory spec prop. Thanks.

Have you tried to contact Fountain? What does your test report say?

Not yet, and I don't have a test report - but will contact them. Just thought someone may know from experience. There are lots of 27's out there, but most have engine mods, so ....

WOT - Full fuel tank, 2 men, 2 small women, relatively light river current - 63 mph, but the tach was bouncing to 5300 rpm or so - which is a higher than redline (my understanding is 5150 rpm is redline). So seems like I'm "strung out" so to speak.

Thoughts?

You're probably hitting the rev limiter!
