Default Need help! fuel gauge is empty

Hello everyone,

this weekend we try my boat for the first time this year, man,,this boat is really awesome ,, wow,,,incredible

I just do not know what quantity of gas which I have, because we full the boat before start and my gauge read empty !! with the light switch on

where we begin to check, the gauge or the sender, ajusment maybe

sender or ground, ground the back of the guage and see if it goes to full.

There are a few threads on here that talk about how the fountains' tanks are notorious for inaccuracies, due to tank shape and stance of the boat. I ran out one time with half tank showing, 8 gallons from sea tow put it at 3/4 tank. I purchased fuel flow sensors from lowrance to keep up with my usage.

Pitts is right. And in your case, Quebec, having twins in an even smaller boat (29) makes the problem even worse than we see in the 32 hulls. On my boat, the gauge is pretty accurate when the boat is on the trailer and therefore level. When the boat is still, with the transom nearly underwater, the fuel gauge nearly always shows full, as the sender is near the aft end of the tank.
