Default 1991 Fountain 38 SC Refresh

What started out as a simple refresh turned into a complete rebuild. Six months later here is the almost completed project.

All new interior, cockpit, rebuilt 502s and a 12,000 watt stereo system. Once I decide on a theme it will be painted, most likely this winter.

Photos here.

And the boat.

The stereo morphed into a ginormous project. I own a custom bodyshop with an audio department and full upholstery shop. I had no intention of building such a monsterous system but my head installer who was recently voted #2 in the country by mobile installer magazine went a little nuts. I am pulling the boat out of the water this weekend and will post some detailed pics of the audio next week. Its all Hertz/Audison equipment tuned via a Bit One and sounds incredible. The stereo is powered by its own bank of 8 Shuriken(sp) batteries...

Pulling the boat out of Lake Michigan this weekend for a run on the river and back to my shop Monday. I will post some of the engine bay Monday afternoon. Unfortunately the big lake is not real cooperative this weekend with its gale force winds and 14-18's and 18-22's on the other side.
