Default Toggle switch on 47 dashboards.. What is it for?

Hi,

A lot of 47 Lightnings have a single toggle switch right under the two voltmeters in the middle of the dash... How does this really work? It can be flip both sides and is off in the middle. Why is the dash set up like this??

Thanks!

This may be way way off, but I had a Scarab that had 5 tanks and 3 fuel gauges. It had a 3 position momentary toggle that you could run center, or press left or right and it would switch the sender input to the center fuel gauge. Perhaps similar in this Fountain?
