I like the idea of firing off that third motor at the docks! I agree with some of the others. I'd get a newer boat if you want the twin setup though I like the idea of the rear facing seats on the older boats (did the switch happen in 06 or 07?). Seams like the rear facing seats would be nice for conversation while on the hook or at the dock. JMO

Personally in a heartbeat, but would go the staggered route,
you already have the engine bay to do it.

Have you seen the 47' Apache Thread that convereted to staggered 1,200"s...runs like 117mph?

Lastly spoke with John Pompi few years back
said he convereted a Trip to a staggered and
it only took 50 more HP per engine to run the same
speed as the tripple.

So if you had tripple 750's

you would run staggered 800's

Per the conversation with John Pompi.

You will not increase the value or get your money back.
However I think a twin is always an easier sale.
Also much easier to work on.
