Need info on Gaffrig Depth Gage
The Gaffrig digital depth gage in my 38EC is acting erratic. I'm not sure if it's defective or maybe I'm just not using it correctly. Pretty simple gage, just a SET button and up and down arrow buttons. Does anyone have an instruction sheet or manual on this gage they can email me?

I contacted Gaffrig directly and they sent me the operating instructions for my depth gage along with a complete catalog of their products. (Thanks for the PM.)
For those with the older Gaffrig depth gage (model: 5001 or 5501), Gaffrig has come out with an updated model. This newer depth gage has the same size hole requirements, but larger display.

According to the Gaffrig catalog and price list, their latest high performance digital depth sounder gage costs $192, and another $15 for the gage rim. Model numbers: 5003 for black dial and 5005 for the white dial. Includes alarm and transducer.

Glad to help.
I'm checking now to see if their old (5001 style) transducer will work with their newer (5003/5005) gage. Thought being, it would be nice to be able to swap out just the gage and not have to deal with replacing the transducer. I'll post an update when I find out.

Buy the Humminbird HDR610 kit (transducer and gauge) for $99 (from Overtons, Amazon, etc), change the face and rim if the word "Humminbird" on it bothers you, and pocket the other $93 .
