Just talked to someone at Fountain and this is not the factory boat. The one from the factory is in NY somewhere and it ran 125 plus but was out of control. This one was done by Legendary Marine and belonged to a doctor we think. Nice looking boat.

Yes, it sounds like "Kelly O" has the only 35 that had factory 700s. This one a dentist bought, had XRs and 525s, and purchased the 700s/6s afterwards. Kelly said they spaced the drives and put limiters on the tabs of his. I am sure this exact same thing was done on this one. Thanks for the info.

I was thinking the same thing... a 35 with 700's would have to be crazy fast with not much boat in the water.

Kelly O's is the only 35 ever built at the factory with 700's and 6's. It was / is a rocket!

I'll let Kelly chime in with the history, but will say that I have been in the boat at speed and it is on a rail, when in the right hands.

I had a long conversation with Reggie at the Miami Show a couple years back and he swore they only ever made one 35 with 700-#6's. Kelly has that boat. I wanted one so bad I searched out and bought one of the (only 3 I think) 35's made with 600's. I am referring to 07 and later Lightnings with staggered motors. I did Whipple's 750HP upgrage to mine.
OMG hang on tight, it is a wild ride!
