Mine chine walked bad right around 74-75. Found it best to power right thru that area and it settled right down.

I 'think' I was running a 27" hydro, (been 9-10 yrs since) for a top end of 83

Our 1996 27 was a single step with HP500. Top speed was right at 76 mph, but you could not run it there because it would have thrown you out of the boat due to chine walk. At 74 mph with tabs level, it was ok but as you got to 75 - 76 with throttle and very slight change to tabs, it would start to walk a little bit, but as it climbed just north of 76, it got violent and you had to get out of it .... didn't have any more "power", though, to power through it .

Jerry, the 91 I was referring to belonged to Charles .... he borrowed one of your QIV props to try, many, many years ago.
