Default Herings on 35 Fountain?

I have a 92 35 flat bottom.Im planning on installing shorty drives and will most likely have to go from 30 to 32 props. So would hering 5 or 6 blades help or am I wasting my money?

i have a similiar boat with pfaff 750s .im running konrad drives and trannys .. ive tested every prop .and settled in on 30 pitch 5 blade maximus props spinning 57 to 5800 hundred. the 5 blades deffinately bite the water and give the boat and all around better performance .. and get there quiker . i too run shorter drives . good luck . letr eat remember the more blade surface will cause the rear of the boat to lift . thus stern lifting props . my maxies were worked to carry the bow better .and lesson the rear lifting tendancies of the props

I wouldn't even spend the money for shorties, let alone the herings. My answer is save your money.

That boat should have come with 3 blade Mirage props?
Bravo I 4 blades should still work on -2 lowers.
But unless your tickling 90 you wont get much for your money and time spent.
What power does it have?

And to Keegan's reply if I get a good enough deal on the stuff I can always get my money back in my opinion.

Your X dimension probably will not be high enough to benefit from 6 blades. Labbed 5 blade Maximus will likely give you the best all around performance, but may cost you 1-2mph on the top end over labbed 4 blade Bravos. I would try your current props after installing the shorties to get a decent baseline, then borrow some different props before committing to buy a set.

3 blades will go faster but will loose mid range cruise.

Not to interrupt this discussion but if I wanted to improve my cruise speed, switching to a four blade from a three would do this? I'm running 3 blade 24p mirage plus. If so, what prop to try?
