Default Trim tab wiring

At the end of last summer my tabs stopped going up. I finally got around to fixing it and I can't figure out the damn wiring.

Why are there 2 and 4 pole switches, for redundancy? Anyhow, if someone has a wiring diagram for their tabs, I'd love to see it. I figure any Fountain diagram should work, but it's for a 24CS just in case.

Thanks, Cole

The 2-pole switches are for the individual tab switches. The 4 pole switch controls the "Both" switch. Here's a picture of the back of my Fountain 38's dash.. maybe this will help you sort it out..

The top row of switches are for the tabs.. the bottom row are for the drives... I've labeled the tab switches... just blow up the picture ...

I appreciate the photo. Yours are wired how I would say is logical. When Im able to be under my dash next (out of town for work) I'll post a pic of what mine look like. There are literally twice as many connections,

The trim in the handle is usually for the drives, unless he has both in the throttles..

Lol, I was wondering. I'm going by my shop today to get a pic.

HyFive, I want to rewire my switches similar to yours. Right now they have all sorts of jumpers and weirdness going on. I don't have any evidence that the wiring has been altered from stock, but I've not owned the boat since it left the factory either.

Here are two shots of the entire back of the dashboard.. The white panel is the before and the darker is after I rewired everything on my blue carbon fibre dash. It's a lot of spaghetti in both pictures, but this is all I've got.. you might get be able to see where the wires are routed if you blow up the pics and follow the wires..

The red wires are your hots and they should be connected to your middle terminals. The main hot goes to the middle terminal on the "both" switch and then is daisy chained to the two other switches.

The blue wires control your "up" and go to the top switch terminals... again the blue wires from the main harness go to the both switch except they are jumpered from separate terminals for the port and starboard tabs.

The green wires control your "down" and go to the bottom terminals. same deal as the up... jumpered off separate terminals to the port and starboard switches.

Don't be confused by what looks like an extra red coming off the port switch in my picture. that is a jumper going to the drive switches to provide power to those...

BTW... if you determine that your switches are the problem... I have 4 brand new rocker switches sitting in a box that I bought and never used..

upload your pic when you can and I will see if I can decode your wiring..
