It's a 496 by Boyd's Racing Engines out of Norman Ok. Dynoed 600 on pump gas. I am not familiar with what type of steering is on it. I bought the boat later part of last year. It was in Tyler TX.

I don't know yet, I have been working out some bugs out of the combination. The previous owner said mid 80's, but I am going to install a GPS speedo and see for myself.

If anyone is interested, she is now for sale...

http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...er-o60066.html

I have decided to put up one of my favorite water toys. I have a business opportunity knocking at my door and to be safe I am liquidating some toys.

This is surely one of the nicest, cleanest, well kept and tastefully modified examples of a 24CS's left in existence today. I bought this boat two seasons ago, with no intention of selling it I poured money into it with an open checkbook. All service, modifications and repairs were done at the most reputable shop in DFW (Legend Marine). They have maintained my fleet of fountains and other boats throughout the years. As far as Fountains, I've had two 32's, a 38 and a 29 all taken care of there. Feel free to reach out to Casey Freeman with any questions you may have.

Under my ownership I have done the following:

- Completely stripped, rebuilt and custom purple kevlar coated Magnum Trailer.
- New Alloy Trailer Wheels
- New Trailer Tires
- New LED lights throughout trailer
- Complete tune up of built 454 (plugs, wires, filters, fluids, valve cover gaskets etc.
- CMI Headers
- Hatch redone to fit CMI headers
- Hatch pad redone with Fountain logo
- Drive Shower
- Labbed Mercury Prop
- Billet Air Claner/Spark Suppresor
- New Depth Finder
- Complete Buff/Wax
- New Die Hard Marine battery

I have invoices for most if not all of this stuff I've done. She will do 74-75 GPS with 3/4 tank. I know it has more left in it but I haven't had the opportunity to let it all hang out.

Done prior to my ownership, the 454 was built with Forged Pistons/Rods, Edelbrock Aluminum Heads (Performer RPM), Edelbrock Aluminum Intake, Holley Carb and Comp Custom Cam with supporting valvetrain upgrades.

This bad boy sounds absolutely perfect after I did the CMI E-Tops. It still retains the silent choice/captains call as well.

I know that there are others priced for less, I know one sold for much less than what I'm asking but please understand the quality of boat you are getting when comparing prices. I'm asking $24,800 OBO, just a fraction of what I have invested. But as we all know, boating is not a sound investment but rather a very enjoyable pass time. lol.

I encourage anyone that's seriously interested to do a survey on it, I did a compression check recently and she's as strong as the day I got her with only 315 total hours on the clock and under 50 hours on the total rebuild. Thanks for looking!

Here is a link to more pics, please feel free to ask any questions to me or call Casey Freeman at Legend Marine.

For comparisons sake, here is a link to the ad when I first purchased the boat...
